There are many different ways Line is used in the creation of an artwork. It can be drawn, painted, incised, tangible, figurative or abstract.

Here are some examples of various lines artists use: 

  • Straight lines can be diagonal, horizontal, vertical, parallel, zigzag
  • Curved lines can be circular, wavey, spiral
  • Thin and Thick lines and also well defined lines or lines that fade out
