The aim of the Exploration in visual art, music and drama program is to introduce the students to the principal techniques of Art, Music, and Drama, and to develop in students a positive attitude towards the arts. The school year is divided into three terms, and students rotate between the three disciplines. In the Visual Arts program, students will explore several art making techniques, will learn the properties of various materials and tools, and will apply this knowledge in the creation of personal and media images. As well, students will learn the elements and principles of art, will explore and utilize these in their work, and will identify and appreciate these in the works of others. And finally, along side the creative processes, students will be introduced to several artists and art styles. |
