Throughout history people have used color for many purposes.
Every day we use color for body decoration, be it for special occasions and events; clothing and accessories,  cosmetics and make-up.
Every time we select a shirt or a dress we know which color looks best on us.
Color plays an important part in our surrounding. We have color preferences in the way we furnish our room, or th color of the car we purchase. Color Symbolism
Besides being decorative, color plays a major role in our universal or cultural symbolism.
Colors are associated with holidays, such as green and red for Christmas
black, orange and purple for Halloween.
Colors are also associated with special occasions, such as
white for a wedding,
pink for girls or blue for boys.
These are all cultural associations that vary greatly from one culture to another around the world. We also associate color with the time of the year, like soft pastels for spring or warm reds and yellows for autumn.
